My boyfriend is in the 82nd Airborne and has been deployed in Southern Afghanistan for around 4 months. I've been wanting to get some stuff shipped over to him but I'm not sure what...his Marine friend told me unscented wipes, powdered drink mix (Crystal Light-ish), chapstick, and anything pouched.
Anyone know anything else that's good to send for him?
Also, how exactly do you send a military package? Thanks

your friend is right! That stuff is really good to send! I sent my husband a bunch of baked goods! He has got a huge sweet tooth & i sent dozens and dozens of cookies he must have easily been sent over a 100 dozen cookies, I didn't worry about sending too much or sending something that he just didn't like cause all he would was share it with his friends!I just vacuumed sealed the cookies! I candy, lots of pictures, cards, i sent him an mp3 full of music that he loved, I worked at a day care at the time so i had the kids make him cards and such, (He said that him & the other guys loved reading them), I sent him disposable cameras, so he can take pictures and then mail them back to me so I could see what it looks like and see him (suggestion: Look at them at home, cuz when I first opened them I started crying in walmart....very embarrassing lol)
use this website you can have free post office boxes sent to your house & its strictly for sending to overseas military! And the website can give you prices for how much it will cost you!!!

My boyfriend is in the army and alot of his friends are deployed and they tell him the use chapstick like CRAZY. The best kind is burt's bees wax, its amazing. Also does your boyfriend like to read at all? When my man was in BCT and AIT he bought a book called "The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell" it's a true story about a guy in the military who goes overseas for the war. It's SOOOO good. After he read it and came and visited him and he told me to take it home and read it, awesome book. I'm really not sure what else, but write him lots of letter. Phone calls are awesome but I'm sure he gets alot of those, but letters he can keep and read again if he misses you. That's all i can think of, like i said my boyfriend isn't depolyed yet. Hope i helped a little bit :)

I could say ship him plenty of stuff, My father used to be deployed in 2006-2007 and we despatched him plenty of stuff. I like Bazooka gum, so we despatched him a gigantic crate filled with it. Around yuletide time, we despatched him movies of the household, and yuletide cookies, we despatched him dunkin donuts espresso... The quality facet used to be that he used to be stationed at Arif Jan, Kuwait, so he would use these things... But im certain what ever you do ship him he's going to recognize, the predominant factor is to permit him recognize you continue to care approximately him, and that you just feel approximately him alot
