Women expect him to be experienced but he's not; he's still several stages behind, but then there's age appropriateness...what to do? If society has no room for him should he run away and quit life?

Age doesn't matter. If he is shy and or if he hasn't dated before then first he should meet lots of people and make lots of friends to gain social skills. If he doesn't know much about sex and women's bodies he can learn this easily from the Internet. He should not expect too much from whoever he dates and may need to learn to except rejection if he is dumped.

I know plenty of socially awkward women who have little to no sexual/romantic experience. Try dating women who are in similar circumstances. Feeling a common connection makes women build trust and safety in a relationship, as well as lowers the expectations that you feel anxious about.

Why should he run away? he just hasn't met the right person yet. If he meets the right woman she will understand and be gentle with him.
