I've been seeing my bf for almost 6 months now, we're getting pretty serious and he loves me ALOT and definitely shows it to everyone he knows. Which is good, I trust him and even most of his friends. I was wondering how common it is for a guy to have a best girl friend? I feel fine w/it since they have never dated, she is really nice to me and we do things together, so I see no harm in him having this girl as his best friend, even though I'm his best friend as well. He's known her for a long time & has been there for him through tough times so I could understand why they are friends. Anyway, even though I'm confident and I trust the situation, I always get a little jealous for some reason. Like I think that I should have a best guy friend, which I do but he's not around as often as she is to my bf. So I sometimes struggle with this setup. Does anyone else know how to hand it? How common is it? I kinda feel like he has another girlfriend without all the flirtiness, intimacy, etc. But should I be cool about it?

That's a tough one and I totally understand how you feel. I personally am not a fan of Best friends of the opposite sex. A friend ok. But a best friend. No. I don't want my man to spend that much quality time with another female. And unfortunately it seems that it always goes wrong. Seems like friends of opposite sex end up with one of them liking the other especially when one of them becomes close to someone else. Maybe you could talk about your feelings and limit their time together. And maybe they should only spend time together as long as all of you are together. Good luck!

Its very common. It is VERY normal for you to become jealous. It's a woman's intuition. I'll be honest w/ you, if they have not been together try to find out if they have every slept together... I mean that may ease your mind especially if they have not...Maybe... But don't begin to show you do not trust him. Take it slow don't put ur whole heart in it and do your womanly investigations... It will be alright.

Don't let it bother you, if you are that worried about it then confront him to make sure she is just a friend. Since you don't see anything funny going on then everything should be fine. Friendship doesn't have a color or gender.

I'd say yes =]

It shows you have a lot of trust in him, which is cute.

I wish I wasn't so paranoid =\
