Question:
Hypothetically speaking of course, if you were dating a Prince and you went to meet his parents...?

Would you bow and call her "your highness" and do the other "royal" things you're supposed to do when you meet royality. Or would you be casual and say "Mrs. Windsor". Or would you be super casual and say "hey Liz" or "betty".

I'm really bored and just thought of this question. I'm just curious to see what people would say and if there is royal protocol for this kind of meeting.

I don't know about the protocol but if you've been dating for a while, your highness might be psychology gratifying

If I was dating a Prince he would be an orphan. If I had to have in-laws again, I wouldn't consider the guy a "prince."

I think if anyone said, "hey Liz" or "Betty" she would have that person beheaded immediately - so no second date with the prince.

If you were by opportunity fortunate enough to meet a prince and be invited to his parents home, you would be informed as to how to greet and address royalty. There are those who serve in such a capacity where they will meet people in advance of occasions and inform them of what is required

Boy, your question is confused, dear. first you said his, then you switched to her.

For one thing, I am not gay. Secondly, I would not date a prince. Not that I am arrogant or any thing like that. Third, People of that status have no place for a lower status or vice versa for us to have anything to do with each other. Fourth, if he's gay (I mean a gay prince, he can drop dead). And finally, if it's a princess, revert to third and replace (him) with (her). Wait who's on first, what's on second, and I don't know is on third right. Him or or couldn't be on third, or first. Now I really don't know. Wait a minute that's not right. It's who's one first, and I don't know is on third. Boy, sorry, I'm confused.

Depends if you were from their country. I think you should at least tilt in a slight bow and say "it is such a pleasure to meet you". Just avoid titles! lol

yes of course, even their royal son/daughter address or approach in the same royal manner as much as other regular people do such as addressing your highnessinstead of calling them through their normal names.

what a random question. you must be pretty bored.

i'd go all royal, and then if they tell you to call them by their first names then do that. but that'd be fun to date a prince!

I'm sure there is, but I'm American and I don't bow to anyone. I would politely shake her hand and tell her how very nice it is to meet her.

if you want to have there respect and for them to like you at least a little bit, you have to do what is known to be respectable to them. i would do the whole royal thing.

You have to wait for them to extend their hand or approach you first. You have to do a slight bow.

i'd bow and say "your highness" it's the only polite way to greet the royalty.

Depends on where the Prince(ss) is from.
