don't they realise that they're not actually saying 'you are ugly', they are saying:

'I am yet another weak-minded clown in a mass sea of weak-minded clowns. I don't possess the willpower of strength of character to look past MTV, Heat magazine or the X Factor, so I will just conform to society and mock someone else for something as inconsequential as how they look on any given day'

The irony is, that these morons are laughing at hat person, when decent people should really be laughing at them. And they are completely oblivious to that.

Unfortunately its true, they are totally oblivious to that, but they don't consider change is necessary and standing up to the crowd rather than being one of them is difficult so they chose the easy way, that's human mentality and that's how they see the world.
