hi,
im 18, never been in a relationship..ive always been afraid to ask girls out thinking theyre too good for me...however, i know that im not hot and neither have any girls told me that....but sometimes when theyre talking about me to my cousins or friends they smile and say hes "cute". whats is the difference between a girls saying ur hot or ur cute like that?

cute guys are usually in reach where hot guys are so popular they are out of reach for us. when we talk about a cute guy thats someone we would date, but a hot guy is somone who we would date but know it prob wouldnt work out like brad pitt kind of thing. plus girls arnt all into looks unless they are beyond shallow, but since you are in high school or just graduated most are, you will find a good girl who likes you for you not how you look. those are the kind you want anyways. and usually guys who think a girl is too good for then usually treat girls the best. dont be scared if tehre is a girl you like and yall have been talking for a while ask her to go hang out with you, worst thing she can say is no. but she will prob see you are a great guy if she gives you the chance.

Well, "cute" is a very tricky word. Girls use "cute" as not only a physical adjective, but also an adjective for personality. In this case it seems like they are saying you are physically cute, but it might be just to be polite to your friends and cousins.



Girls are NOT too good for you. You're not the only one to be 18 and never have been in a relationship ...

So get some confidence in yourself. It doesn't matter if you're cute, hot, or not. If you're nice, fun, and confident, you shouldn't have a problem w/ girls. :)



I do have a suggestion for dealing w/ girls though. If you like a girl, treat her like the world revolves around her - but not in a creepy way. I think that girls like (or at least they should) guys that are caring. If you've never been in a relationship, then your type of girl would have never been in one either, and that type of girl can't resist attention... well, that's my Theory at least.

this is actually a tough question! when girls are talking to other girls, they know when to say if a guy is hot or if he's cute. but it's just so hard to describe why!



usually hott means that the guy has very generic good looks. like model looks.



when a guy is cute it's often about the eyes or the smile. it's not always the typical things that make a girl call a guy cute. the guy doesn't have to have award winning looks, but just something to make the girl notice him.
