Question:
Low self esteem and no body confidence at all?

Hi all: I'm 16 from Scotland, I've never had a boyfriend, never kissed a boy, nothing but I have no confidence in myself or my body, when I was 5 I had an operation on my lady parts - and I'm scared that it doesn't look right. I don't have confidence to talk to new people; meet new people or go out after college with friends.
Can low self esteem come from being bullied by my parents? I don't know why I have no confidence but I've always been shouted at by my parents, beaten up and also been bullied really bad at school, could this have something to do with having no confidence at all?

You are 16. That is a tough age, for everyone! Let alone someone thats been through what youve been through. Focus on your life and what you want to do with it. These other people at school probably wont amount to anything. Maybe focus on doing something that will pay off in the long run!! Maybe pursue a talent or hobbie and just study hard at school (all of these things will amount to a better future)!

People that have boyfriends now probably wont have them in a few years and then theyll have nothing ;) So dont put too much emphasis on hving a boyfriend just yet, that will happen all in good time. :)

The things u lived r very hard to handle and u r not confident because of these. You need to love your self and who u r. If you need someone to talk to u can talk to the school counsellor teacher, a very good friend or ur parents if they r okay now. Don't worry about the boy stuff. I'm in the situation(never dated, never kissed) but it is not a big deal. We are both young and have a huge life to live. Try to be positive and happy. Music may help(but not depressive ones) Also get a hobby like writing, reading, drawing etc

Hope it helps… :) :)

I no what your going though love..

Everything will be fine your perfect in your own way and don't let any one change that. It doesn't matter if ur different Hun, it makes you who you are as for your parents I know it will be really hard and your probably stress and depressed but things will get easier focus on something you like doing like drawing or singing what ever cheers you up, ignore the people at school they are stupid and you will be the one to succeed in life, I went though a really bad stage of self harm and bulling when I was a kid and it feels like nothing can get Better but look at me now I'm happy free and I am an fully trained art teacher, just do what makes you happy and forget the rest of the world because you are perfect, always 😉
