depends.

If you already have his regular home or cell phone number, then yes it's a good sign.

If that's the first number he gave you, it could be a bad sign.

If He Just Gave It To You For Business Purposes Then No. But If He Randomly Gave You It He Might Be Suggesting For You To Call Him. Try Calling Him For A Chat And Ask Him About His Day. Don't Ring Him Straight Away. Wait A Day Or Two And Make Him Wait ;)

I'll throw out some other reasons why a guy may only give his work number:

He may not want his family/siblings to be all up in his business.

His parents might not allow calls after a certain time.

He may have a roommate who is always on the phone.

He may want to appear "non threatening". He may be afraid you'll think a home number is too forward of him. After a while he'll give you his real number.

It depends. The first question you ask yourself is "What does he do for a living?" If he's a psychiatrist or something like that, then you might be in trouble. Other than that, I think he might have given you his work number because he didn't want you to have his cell phone number. I'm sorry.

It could mean a number of things

1. That he likes you and his mobile is broken

2. You need help and he can help you

3. He has a Girlfriend/Wife and doesnt want her or you to find out so for security reasons so neither one of you will find out he gave you his work number

If you already have his cell/home number, then yes, it's a good sign. If not, then I'd say he just doesn't wanna give you the others.

Good sign just dont call him at work cause that can be annoying and he can get in trouble. Just be happy with the fact that he was able to open up to you and actually give you the work number :)

not necessarily. he may just not want you to call him at home because someone else might answer. Same with his cell phone, someone else could possibly see the call log. sorry for the dose of reality.

...why not his cell phone or home phone? I'd worry, maybe he has a gf and doesn't want girls calling on his other phone.

I agree with everyone else - he has obviously got something to hide if he won't give you his mobile no.

I would leave him well alone!!
