Girls seem to go for the guys they can't quite wrap around their finger.

However, in the end dating a bad boy usually leads to heart ache.

As the saying goes, it's all about the catch.

"Bad boys" are usually very confident, so they know how to speak to/act around girls calmly. Which intrigues a girl because we then think 'this guy could be talking to any girl, and he talking to me'.

It's all about a look really, bad boys are exactly that... Bad boys, and really there's no personality there that decent girls look for when looking to date.

I guess I'm trying to say, not all girls go for that type. But the ones that do are probably doing it for a look. Just like when guys choose the prissy fake girls and then complain they're high maintenance.

Hope this helped.

Its the sense that he is bad enough to be fine without us (we always want what we can't have) but also that he is bad enough to look after us if we need it. Also, girls like to heal and fix problems, and when someone is as bad as James Dean, we think they are wounded, so it inspires us to want to love and care for them. At the same time, we don't feel burdened by someone who is bad enough to look after himself. Finally, he is good looking, extremely so, in a dirty "i don't care" sort of way, which girls find irresistible. Most of this is instinctual and genetic.

Girls who are into "bad boys" are just childish. The very idea of calling someone a "bad boy," to me, is childish in itself.

I go for badasses.
