Question:
How can I tell a guy I don't want to go to formal with him when I already said yes?

So, here's my situation:
Guy A is one of my best friends. He recently asked me to formal and I said yes because of the spur of the moment sort of thing. Then, Guy B, who is my ex, but we both still have feelings for each other, told me he was going to ask me to go, but Guy A beat him to it. I know I already "made a commitment" to Guy A, but if you were in this situation, just really think. Guy B has been my crush for a while but we haven't started dating again yet. One of the reasons I said yes was because Guy B told everyone he was going to ask another girl in order to keep asking me a secret. But I really want to go with him. Guy B is now debating asking the girl and I really don't want this to happen. Please help me. I know everyone's gonna tell me just to go with Guy A, but it could be helpful if someone could possibly just tell me how to end going with Guy A. Even if you don't think I should stop going with Guy A, the most helpful answers would be ways to cut off going with him, and go with Guy B. I know this probably sounds really bitchy, but I need help

Well I will answer your question but I really think you should just go with Guy A. Just think if you were in his place how bad you would feel if someone changed their mind on you and went with someone else instead. However, if you are definitely not going to go with Guy A I would suggest you explain the situation to him just like you explained it on here. You say Guy A is one of your best friends so if you tell him that you have feelings for Guy B and you don't want to miss out on an opportunity with him, he will probably understand. I'm sure he won't be happy about it but he'll get over it and also make sure you apologize! One thing you have to be careful of is even though you and Guy A are just best friends he could have feelings for you and was planning on using this as a way to tell you and by you turning him down it would really hurt him, just a thought. But he may just have simply asked a friend.

it does sound real b*tchy, but.... you'll find out later in life that it really pays to keep your commitments. but you're in high school, so this is obviously a "life or death" situation for you.

i think you just go up to the guy face to face and tell him that you need to speak with him. then you just say what you've got to say. the truth. that you'd rather take a chance on "maybe" going with the guy you're crushing on. that you're sorry for breaking your commitment, but that you only care about yourself and the things that you think you want.

so there is a chance that even with guy B that things might not work out? there's a chance that he'll go with someone else? or he's definitely going with you?

like i say, when/if you mature one day you'll find that the world doesn't revolve around you.

good luck, just be honest. no point in fixing one mistake by making another mistake. honesty goes a long way.

Just say to guy a,

Hey, we're just good friends right? Would it be ok If I went with guy b? It's just that I kinda like like him, sorry! I mean how would you feel if a girl u liked asked you?

I know I would understand, but then again, what if he really does like you and this is the night you to fall for eachother? I know I fell in love with my best friend girl

what i would do is go with both of them. all you need to do is "go to the bathroom" about every 15 and go hang out with the other one for 15 and keep switching. you can even bang both of them if you want.

with the aid of fact you already mentioned sure i think of you should bypass. I recommend think of approximately it, you are going to a public experience so it rather is different from he needs you to sleep with him, at absolute worst; you don't get to renowned him and as a replace to speak to human beings and at ultimate you have countless exciting with him and initiate up a doubtlessly super relationship.
