My family is from Russia. And I m in a 4 year relationship with my girlfriend secretly. Kind of. I met my girlfriend In college when we were taking Spanish. She s actually Dominican, but beautiful and dark. I really prefer darker woman over fair woman. She speaks Spanish and basically became my tutor for me. Since then we ve dated. My family met her a few times but always tell me I need Russian bride to get over my phase. (As a joke) but I m in love with her and she is learning Russian for my family and I learn spanish for hers. And her family loves me. I want to marry this girl, but my family is so racist saying she is drug dealer father and brothers. Btw they ask about her and I say, "we talk here and there." Because my dad told me, it makes my mom cry that I don t love my Russian Culture. Thanks for the advice! Btw we re both 22. And I live with roommates. She lives with family.

you should make it clear to your parents that you DO love your russian culture (it is unhealthy if you don't like it) and tell them that has nothing to do with her, you just love her and want to be with her.

It's your life. Do you want to live it how you want or how other people want you to live it? Do what's right for you because you only get one life. My mum married a black guy. At first my Greek grandmother didn't like this, but she came around and when I was born she was the happiest ever.

Ultimately do what makes you happy. Your parents should put their pride aside if they really love you and there needs to be more people like you. Love has no colour. Hold onto true love because it's not so easy to find.

Your family is right. To say those things about her.

I think it's sad that you come from a family of bigots. I also think it's sad that you apparently believe you have to follow their bigoted ways. All that said, what is your question? You're an adult - do whatever you want to do.
