guys!! i need your advice here! am i not being a good girlfriend to my guy?

i've been with my guy for 8 months. i'm at a dorm an hour away from home and he's at hometown university so we only see eachother on weekend. we're doing really good but one of my girlfriends told me that i'm not being a good girlfriend...
let me explain how i am around my guy. i spend time with him, i don't flirt with other guys in front of him, i don't cheat, i let him know that i love him, i like to make him feel appreciated (because he's always so sweet), i let him know i'm always there for him and provide him with a listening-ear. i try to talk about it whenever something is wrong but i don't nag and i try to be positively reinforcing, i help him whenever he has a problem, i am affectionate towards him, we have fun conversations and can joke about silly stuff but we can also be serious. i do sweet stuff for him like getting his favorite pizza before he comes over. i am affectionate towards him. we hear from eachother every day because we miss eachother, but i give him his space.

No.. don't listen to ur friend... thats the worst and the most negative advice! true love is God's blessing, and playing hard to get is done by ppl who are flirting or want to check their hot quotient.. .you're in love and if you do what ur friend told you might lose the love of ur life! don't follow her advice.. it seems that she is jealous of you cos you're a very perfect girlfriend!

HOLLY CRAP GIRL!!! i just went through the same exact thing with my gf...or ex gf now. I was exactly how you are toward ur bf as i was toward my gf. I always wanted to please her, be sweet, tell her how much i cared for her, not flirt with other chicks, not cheat, listen and all that good stuff. HOWEVER, after a while she broke up with me because that spark of passion that two people have for eachother at the beginning of a relationship just started to stagnate. In other words, she got bored. And that was due to my constant kindness. I've learned in order to keep a relationship strong, you have to keep that initial attraction fresh. And by doing that is by playing hard-to-get from time to time. Not all the time though. I'd say like 65% of the time do wat ur doing now...being sweet and caring. The other 35% is playing hard-to-get. You see by doing this you keep them guessing and when you do that, the mystery behind you is attractive. That's what attracted you two together in the beginning, so you have to keep it up for it to last. So yes, play hard to get, but not TOO hard to get while still making it obvious that you both belong to eachother and care very much for eachother.

Take your girlfriends advice with a grain of salt, Ask yourself, Does she have any long term relationships to base her opinon on and is she in a long term relationship now? I'm willing to bet the answer to both questions is NO. You keep doing what feels right with your boyfriend, Relationships are between two not three people get her out of yours.

I think you need to listen to your guy. If the returns the favor to what you do, then you are doing a good job.

Personally, when I was single I did not like it when girls tried to play too hard to get and I would loose interest.



So my vote is to listen to your heart and watch how your guy reacts. So far from what I can tell, you are doing the right thing.

i wouldn't listen to your friend. if you were my gf, i would be the luckiest man in the world!!! i mean, i would have a gf that knows and orders my favorite pizza!! lol. maybe your friend is jealous of your relationship. maybe her relationships aren't that good like yours. i don't know, i could be wrong. that's how i see it.
