How can I get a date?

Question

I am over 30 caucasian working, tall and slim fairly good looking, fairly social and try to make friends when out.
But I have never been on a date in all my life or had a girlfriend.
Am I the only one?
It's not like I am failing with girls but just don't know where the Single girls are.
When going out any where the competition is fierce for any Single girl (like 10 men to 1 girl) if I even can find one Single girl. (which I generally can't)

I have tryed looking on the internet but all the dating sites look like scams, they are just out to get you money.
And girls will not respond to any message you send them.

Has anyone got a suggestion as to what I can do to find a normal girl to spend my life with?
As I guess the older I get the less chances I will have.
I am in Australia.

My advice is to try to look up speed dating events where you can meet new people and try to get dates with single women there, I'm sure there will be a lot of women in your age group there who would love to get to know you better. You could also try to have friends hook you up as well, that's how I've made a lot of new friends and gotten a few dates in the past. I think there are also dating applications on facebook that may help, those might be worth a look too.

Ok...I'll tell you the secret of getting a date.



for this excercise you will need some good walking shoes, a can of repellent and a black textra.



Don the shoes, put your phone number along with a few poignant physical details (over estimate slightly but not blatantly) in every phone booth for ten kilometers from home.



Expect a number of replies to your advert. Meet in a public place. Keep the repellent handy. Not all the girls will be girls (in the biblical sense)



Well, that's how I met my current girlfriend anyways.

Not always, lol it is referred to as a date, I suppose seeing that they set a date in combination on which they're gonna move out. I suppose specific men and women do specific matters on their dates.

There are women just like you out there that don't know how to meet men. I am pretty good looking and can be a lot of fun to be with when you get to know me but I'm a little shy and quiet and men just don't seem to be interested in getting to know me because I don't put my sexual side out there for everyone I meet. I have to get to know a man and like him before he sees that side of me. I want a man who is interested in me not sex. So there are women out there looking for a man like you. Next time you see a shy woman alone go talk to her, she might surprise you. Just look around everywhere you go and one day your one and only will be there waiting for you. Maybe in a store or at the post office or at work,Keep your eyes open,you probably meet more woman in your everyday life than you realize.

Go to church and pray to God to show his way to connect to your future girlfriend / wife. I met my wife on the internet. There are too many users out there just looking for a hookup. But be patient and you will meet few good women on there, look on all the dating sites, like I did without paying unless you see one you like. 3 in 5 relationships start in the internet now days.
