Why do ex's send accidental texts?

Me and my ex bf been over for years we recently tried being friends but he says he cant forgive me yet. I am single he has a "baby momma" (I think they are working it out) Two nights ago we got into a heated argument. He said dont text again and "let go" lol So I replied I am changing my number and You will never find me again. So I blocked his texts from coming to my phone.
Well I am angry that today his texts got through (which I since fixed issue with Sprint)he sends me two texts "Where u going from there? Nails or houses?" then 4 mins later "F$ck sorry wrong person"....OK Is this some attempt to make me jealous or to see if I did change my number..or really accidental?? HELP Im so angry Why dies he even have my number in his phone if he dont want me in his life??
