I am afraid to let go of other guys I date, what could the underlying problem be?

For the longest I haven't been in a relationship and I prefer to be single. I met this guy that I like and he wasn't comfortable with me dating other people so I agreed to be exclusive. But the problem is Literally can't tell the other guys I have a boyfriend... Im beginning to realize that I'm afraid to.. and have this need to date more than one person..
What does this mean what is the underlying problem behind this behavior?

It kind of sounds like you like attention. There is not necessarily anything wrong with this. I had a serious boyfriend for several years, and when I went out, I flirted and NEVER told guys I had a boyfriend. I also never cheated, nor would I ever cheat on my boyfriend. Sometimes it's just nice to feel wanted and appreciated. If you still want to date other people, it probably just means you haven't met someone you truly connect with yet.

dating more than one person is called cheating and if you don't break the habit soon then you won't ever be able to hold a marriage.
