self confidence?

so I've been having problems w/ my bf...he's pretty much as perfect as you can get...tells me he loves me & i'm his angel,etc. But whenever i get alittle hurt about something he did, I tend to get even more upset when I bring it up because I feel like I'm being a bad girlfriend by telling him he did something wrong, especially when he gets so guilty so easily.

Also, I get really self-concious around his friends, because I have trouble talking to them and usually just sit there and listen - and I tend to get sad because i feel like he's ignoring me (don't worry i've only mentioned this to him once and 30 min later apologized cause it wasnt his fault).

Deep down I know its my fault for not having enough self-esteem to understand that he really does love me and not enough confidence to join conversations with people I don't know...especially when they're a bunch of guys talking about sex half the time and video games the other half.

so basically if you have any suggestions?

This is nothing more than insecure behavior and it will get old for him after a while. Work on it. When you go out with him, sit down and strike up a conversation with someone first. It only takes you beginning a talk for the other person to respond and then you have a conversation going on. The more you do this, the more comfortable you will get with it. Remember, all these other people are just like you. Have their own insecurities, their own issues, nobody's better than the other. So, join in, laugh, enjoy yourself, don't be a shadow behind your boyfriend that's nothing more than dead weight and I promise, the friendlier you become and the more you start to mingle, the more you will be liked and the more your boyfriend will be attracted to you. Just do it! You only have friends and good times to gain!

Sounds like you already have things figured out by reading your last paragraph. People/guys are going to have friends and they are going to talk about stuff you have no idea or interest in. Just because it interest your bf and he partakes in the conversation does not mean he loves you any less. Also don't feel that you have to be involved in every second of the guys life. I think that you will come to realize that he has a life, just like you have a life. If you are involved in every aspect of his life, then you both will come to not appreciate the time you are together. What I am trying to say, and not very well may be better explained in example. When I am away from my wife of 21 years I miss her. Then when we are together I realize how much I missed her and I really appreciate the time spent together. Get it.

Self-esteem is very important because you first have to love yourself before you can love anyone else, so this is what you need to work on. Don't listen to that Jerk, you are irreplaceable, he is replaceable. I believe you have a boyfriend who truly cares about you and loves you. You need to work you your insecurities and social skills. We can take our focus off the 'gem' we have finally found and put it back on our past and we can get to comparing our new significant other with old ones.

Listen to him! You probably are his angel, and if he loves you, don't take it for granted, and believe him. You should definitely try to get more confidence...



I know how you feel though, I've been through it. What I did, was dress up really sexy at night, and take pictures of myself...lol. It sounds dumb, but if you try it, you might start to think that "hey, I am pretty..." Ya know?



You're probably a really cool girl...you just gotta believe it!

if you know its just gonna be him and his friends dont go,do your own thing if it is a bunch of guys i do not invite my girl because of those things i dont want her to feel left out dont want my friends talking like they do when my girl is around make time for just yall or hang out with other couples and angels are not easy to replace
