He playfully says I LOVE YOU!! Now what?!!!! need ur opinions PLEASE!!?

My guy best friend who I have a secret crush on has been lately treating me different and I need to know if I am as usual over analyzing it or there could b something more. We are best friends and we hang out every weekend and even during the week. yet lately our groups of friends are reducing and sometimes its just us 2. but recently he told me something that left me wondering, while I was on the phone w one of our friends he whispers something and I didnt hear him well when I asked him he tells me to continue talking to my friend and says I LOVE YOU. he smiles and then he repeats it. I took it as a joke and laughed it off, yet after I got off the phone he briefly mentions how the truth is always told through jokes. I just looked at him and agreed. I froze, I didnt know what to do next.. I like him a lot and I almost put our friendship on the line by tellin him my tru feelings but I chickened out. I dont know what to do.. should I just stay quiet and see what happens? what if a girl comes around and i lose my chances? Need ur opinions please!

My current bf of 6 months and I started off much the same way- we'd been best friends for a year and he'd had a crush on me since the day we met. I always kinda knew, but I didn't know for sure until he basically admitted it to my friend... After that it took two months to get him to ask me out with out him knowing I knew about his true feelings. Point is, I had patience to let him take charge and just ask me out (though hints are nvr out of the question) and, also, if he really likes you then he won't move on til he's asked you out (at least) so just keep your chin up- thing all happen for the best :)

He said those words because he likes you a lot. And he wants to have a relationship with you. He's just like you, a bit shy and not enough confident to ask the other person out. Since you like him too, then you should make things easier for him so he'd ask you out soon. Whenever he wants to hangout with you alone, then go with him. Or whenever he says something nice about you then compliment him back. And slowly hint him that you like him too. Tell him things like "you're so amazing. Whoever that going to be your girlfriend is one lucky girl :)" You know, say things like that often. And smile to him more. And make deep eye contact sometimes. Those signals would let him knows that you like him too. So he'd have enough confident to ask you out.

Tell him, but only if your sure. Are you ready to take the relationship to the next level? Are you ready to have a relationship? I would tell him, everything before was my logic. Go with the flow and don't over think it. I hope it all works out!
