saw my ex, he said we need to stay in touch more. should i bother?

I saw my x boyfriend out at the weekend for the first time since we split up. I thought it would be awkward but i was nice to him and said hiya hows it going etc, and he was nice with m 2. He called me the next day (supprisingly) and said 'it was stange seeing u last night, im glad you wasn't off with me' he also said it would be nice to stay in touch more, i said yes. but i have not heard from him since.
I would like to stay in touch with him more as I do miss him and i dont like not hearing from him but i dont know if he just said that so ill call him to make him feel like i still care about him or something? i used to stay in touch with him when we split up but it used to piss me off cos he'd stay stuff about what he was doing etc which i didnt like or piss me off in some way.
shall i bother keeping in touch with him? i want to but i dont know if it will just end up getttin to me and making him feel good that (which i think is why he wants to stay in touch)

I would give it a miss if I were you. He sounds as if he doesn't really want you but he wants to feel that you want him.

I wouldn't bother as your moving on with your life but if you really want to hear from him then wait for him to contact you (he's the one who suggested it after all!) and if he says thought you wanted to talk more say oh yeah i did but have been busy but it is nice to hear from you agin (then have the conversation) you don't want him to think your waitng around for him

You split for a reason, try to remember this before you rush into it and both get hurt again. I always try and remember a reignited flame never works, get stronger and move on now matter how hard it is
