Cheerleading and boys?

Question

i'm not very pretty, and i'm kinda on the heavy side but not that much and i'm losing weight i cheer competitively and i'm going into highschool next year i would really like to be a cheerleader but i dont want people to think i'm a stuck up dummy head because i'm not i've never had a boyfriend will boys actually like me in highschool? most boys at my school dont find me to be attractive. do boys like girls on the cheerleading team for reasons other then getting in there pants?
what does it take to make the team?
what gets you on varsity?
will most poeple think i'm stuck up?
will boys ever like me?
how can i get boys to like me?

I'm going into 9th too. Cheerleading refers to both guys and girls. I say you try out. If half the guys at my school had your gut maybe thay wouldn't be so stupid around girls. As long as you can handle the physical demand go for it. Guy Cheerleaders make everything so fun. If anyone makes fun of you then ask them if they've ever gotten close to 25 girls. Bet you they won't have an answer. I have all the respect for Cheerleaders. Good Luck!

Well it sounds like your going after the boys who want skinny plastic girls. Those arent the guys you want to attract. I like a freshman cheerleader and she made varsity. She isnt stuck up and a snob. Thats just a perception. Practice and get into the best shape you can be in for cheer. Dont just lose weight to get a BF. They should like you for who you are.
