Why is it that some YOUNGER girls and guys like older men and women?

'm 15, and I know that I am "wise beyond my years" and I've been told that I'm an "old soul", so that probably is the reason (for me, anyway)... the person I see myself marrying, I just picture them being older than me.

In general, for everybody, though, why is that?

All my girlfriends have been WAY younger than than me. We have a lot of fun together. I just can't be happy with a girl my age.

Most of the time it is because people mature at different levels. I started out liking older guys and married one. As I grew up I missed the things that you should be experiencing at eighteen while I hung on the stories of what he had done and by the time I was twenty seven I had lost my youth and was married to an old man who obviously had his best years before I met him so after a bad divorce I am now married to a man close to my age and I am really happy, but I can't ever get back the years of fun and adventure I lost by being fascinated by age when I was young. Please do not make the same mistake as I did, I wish I had always stuck to dating guys my own age, they may have seemed immature but they all grew up eventually!

just preference and what people have in common.



For example:

My friend who is a senior is going out with a sophmore (not cause he is a loser). Ive always seen him as acting younger then me and our other friends. So he probably like somebody that acts like him. He really likes her and they have been going out for quite some time. On the other hand i am more mature so i like girls that are at my maturity level

well you know how girls mature faster than boys? a girl at 15 would be intrested in a guy who is 17 or 18 because the boys her age are under her maturity level and a guy whos 17-18 etc. is more her mature level.

I like older guys because they know how to treat a girl-majority of them do anyway. They're more mature and know more (intelligence). I've always been drawn to older guys, and maybe two or one guy who were my age.



Unfortunately I've liked a younger guy-two actually-and that was dumb on my part.

i think its because men tend to mature at a slower rate than females so dating an older guy is more advisable or it could be vice versa...i always date older, my current boyfriend is about a year and a half older than me
