Boyfriend got me a promise ring! I have a question?

My boyfriend gave me a promise ring a while back, but it got lost 3 months ago and so I haven't had one but then he went and bought me another one! :) I asked him how he went and bought it with his parents not freaking out and he won't tell me :) haha the previous one he didn't buy, but this one he did! And I just wonder if he talked to his parents about it and that since he bought it and it costs a lot if he truly want me in his life for long-term! :) I know its probably stupid to ask but is his feelings for me stronger now? Because for the 3 months we were able to see each other either, but he bought me another ring and went to the commitment route vs the awkward route for not seeing each other for months. I'm not uncomfortable by it, but I want to know if you think (your opinion) that he wants me to be his one and only later down the road! (:

Absolutely! Especially, if he saids it is a promise ring. Some guys buy rings and create confuse and it's just a gift. However, if a guy buys a ring and gives it as a promise ring then he is serious. I am sur she is thinking about spending the rest of his life with you!

My guess is he wants you to be his one and only NOW. Later on down the road you may both change your minds for any number of reasons. btw. I think promise rings are a bit silly because they create exactly the confusion you feel at the moment. I feel they are used by insecure people who are not yet at the stage to become engaged to marry. Just my opinion. Enjoy your relationship.

I would say yes his feelings do feel a lot stronger and if he did tell his parents then he obviously wants them to know something too like maybe someday he thinks your the one .

First off, please don't make this ring your pathway to know how he thinks about you. DON'T!!

Secondly, to know if he wants you to be his one, make 100% sure if he treats you well, not for something in return (like love), but for love and caring. Ask yourself if you trust him from heart. Can you leave him 3 months and still have him beside you (his soul and your soul) or will he move on?? You can have lots of kinds of tests to see if he wants to commit himself. Ring can be something to show himself off to you and it can fail!!!! Be careful with your life!
