Did I do the right thing, or am I a jerk?

So my friend has been seeing this 14 year old girl, and he's 22. They have never met in real life yet. Right now it's a facebook thing. They plan on meeting this summer. They are really close, and always say they love eachother. I'm trying to help, so i decide to talk some sense into her. I did it in a nice way. And they are considering breaking up. Now he's pissed at me, and she's crying. She is considering leaving him.

Is what i did/doing wrong? or the right thing to do?

14 and 22, you did the right thing, it's bad enough that they haven't even meant and there saying they love each other, if they had sex the girl could charge him for rape aswell. I don't think it's right for a 22 year old to date 14 year old.

UMMM what they are doing is called statutory rape if they happen to meet and things get hot and heavy. He should know better since she is not even 18 yet!! That's wrong!
