Why does his best friend stare?

So I've noticed, my crush and his best friend staring at me. My crush was the one who turned red and looked down and kept glancing at me etc, and i felt like the friend was a like watch dog, he didn't give off the vibe that he liked me or anything. He would like stare at me and say things to my crush...

Now that its after winter break, my crush has started to ignore me, not even glancing at me. but that friend still stares...
I dropped my phone near their group, and they all like whipped around and looked at me for a good while... Except my crush... He was kind of looking a little bit past my head at nothing, which was weird...

Whats happening? I dont even know that friend btw, ive never talked to him before.
I know my crush, and he knows me, we are neighbors...

So... Why is my dude not giving me the time of day anymore while the friend still watches me?

Hey,THAT FRIEND had a crush on you..and he thinks that you liked him too.. that is because you will always stare at your crush and at the same time you did not notice that THAT FRIEND was there and he thought that you're liking him not your crush. And your crush must be misunderstood*that friend must have told your crush that "hey, she kept on looking at me,i think she likes me"....LOL,anyway,It has high percentage that your crush do likes you.. so, give him a clue that you like him..just avoid that friend..tell your best friends and your friend will help you with this..
