Dear Kaitlin,
It's been a while since we've talked, other than quick conversations at school. I figured I'd write you and see how you're doing. I've been doing pretty well lately, enjoying my classes and looking forward to college and all that adult stuff that seems to be approaching at a hundred miles an hour. I'll admit, though, it's a lot less stressful than it could have been, as I'm taking a lot of business classes and that's a subject I have a good grasp on. Not like math. Bleh.
Lately I've been studying the works of Aristotle. Originally it was just for an assignment in World History but I found the man to be fascinating enough to want to learn more from him outside of class. My favorite quote of his is, “A declarative sentence is true if and only if what it says is so,” which I find to be quite reasonable. He was certainly a wonderful philosopher; Plato would have been proud of him. Why, you might be asking yourself, is Theo writing to you about Aristotle? I have no idea.
Oh, by the way, would you like to go to prom with me?
Sincerely,
Theodore
P.S. I realize I could have just asked you in person, but I felt like I something special had to be done for someone special like you.
P.P.S. Oh god, that sounds cheesy, doesn't it?
P.P.P.S. You don't have to confirm that. Just for my ego's sake, please don't bother.
P.P.P.P.S. But it is really cheesy.
P.P.P.P.P.S. Did you know that “P.S.” stands for “post script”? I had to look it up to make sure I was using all the ones after the initial P.S. correctly. So this is technically a post post post post post script note.
