I met my husband through a different dating service (a pay service).

At the time it was hard for us to meet new people. We don't drink or hang out in bars and we don't attend church regularly. We were both working a lot of hours at the time and just didn't have time for social activities where we might meet people we'd like to date.

We both were very picky about the ads we answered. He saw my ad and gave me a call. We talked on the phone for a few weeks until we got to know each other. Then we met at a local coffee shop for our first "date." We've been together for 11 years now.

Just be choosy, take it slow, only meet in public, and always keep as much information as possible private until you've gotten to know each other.

Here is a place that reviews lots of dating websites. I'm not sure if yahoo personals is listed, but they have many of the big ones.

Many of the online dating services listed have consumer reviews, so you can read what others think of the different services before you decide on one for yourself. Pretty cool site.

Hope this helps!

Online dating service is becoming an most efficient way to know about people, what they do, who they are and what are they looking for, I find it helpful for understanding how the society brings up those single issues, if you can't find someone really attractive, at least put your profile out there and get some feedbacks.

I would definitely go with a better dating site that has a higher focus on the quality of a dating site, instead of just another side-venture for a search engine site. As a dating consultant, I use the below website for all of my clients... When you sign up, you get all of their advanced features for free for the first 30 days. After this, you get all of their free features available to you, which are more than any other dating site offers for free that I've seen! Plus, you don't have to provide your credit card information upon sign-up, so you won't be billed or "automatically enrolled" into their advanced features until you physicaly go onto the site and sign up for them.

Online dating service works for many people, but I suggest you to look around and compare more dating services in order to increase the possibility of your success.

You can take a look of this page, it has many information about different kind of dating sites:

Maybe. I'm a little skeptical about being able to "shop" for your ideal mate based on demographic information and such. I found my husband online by chance, but I'd have automatically screened him out based on age and location if we'd been on a dating site.

So based on my experience, my advice is sure, go ahead, why not? But keep an eye out for people you just really like, even if they aren't who you thought you were looking for, and don't worry if someone meets all the criteria on your list and just doesn't interest you.

I met my boyfriend of one million.5 yrs on-line and extremely last 12 months I went to the marriage of a pair that met on-line. that distinct couple met in a chatroom and under no circumstances a relationship provider so that you ought to truly attempt internet sites which have chat on a topic you're fascinated in. sure, they artwork for some. i imagine the fulfillment price is an similar as assembly someone out at a celebration or club...regrettably. besides the indisputable fact that, it really is something you ought to attempt. There are a million available. Oh....my relationship continues to be going solid.

It is a really good place to meet people, but you have to be honest on your profile, but also watch what you put because there are quite a few nuts out there but for the most of it, you can meet some nice people.

Try this site below it is 100% free

I'm sure it does if you put the time in. There are probably people that you are looking for who are in the exact same situation as you. And they would be on yahoo personals.

Yes, be careful. People use those services for a reason. Not many socially competent people rely on the internet for their social/personal lives. Don't expect a really hot, sane girl. You might find hot girls, or you might find really down-to-earth and smart girls, but none that have both.

You get what you pay for really. :)

I have a yahoo personals account..but its free..i haven't actually paid for it..I'm a college student so I use other websites like www.plentyoffish.com and www.singlesnet.com and www.craigslist.org singles as well..

Plenty of fish, singlesnet and craigslist.org are free websites. :)

Why pay for websites if you can meet nice people for free too ? :)

It's not a good way to meet people, IMO - none of them are.
