How to get my ex to stop saying cutting jokes to me?

So i broke up with my boyfriend for making cutting jokes and not stopping when i told him to. i asked if to stop say it around me and he didnt. i broke up with him over the phone. (ik harsh). but he desverves it.. know he started going on about how i was trying to change him by telling him to stop saying cutting jokes i dont want to stop texting him because i want him to know ho wmuch it hurts.. i have friends who cut.
And now i say stuff like legit this in text "stop" he replies "When people tell me to stop i cut" "Its not funny!" "when people arent funny i cut" and goes on..i want to do something bout this im not going to just stop responding. im going to stick up for my friends.
What do i do?

Block his number and Ignore him hes a hearless a$$hole! Tell him its not funny and if he thinks cutting is funny then hes just not for u! And u werent trying to change him! Just u were offended and dumb jokes arent a part of someone just their dumb act! How would he like it if u made jokes about gays and some of his friends were gay? Or u made fun of people who do drugs and some if his friends did drugs?

If he knows that you have friends that cut, then he is a total jerk. And you should just stop texting him. Stop talking to him. He doesn't deserve you, and you shouldn't have to waite your time dealing with him.
