Why am I getting bored with texting my new girlfriend?

I'm 16 and I started dating this girl a couple of days ago. She lives 30 minutes away so its hard to see each other. So we text all the time and video chat sometimes. But lately our convos have been boring. There's just nothing to talk about. I still like her a lot though Is it bad that I'm getting bored of her though?

Sometimes you just don't have anything to talk about. That's normal especially if there is really nothing going on in your lives. My suggestion would be to do something different. Text her something completely random to change up the conversations or even play a game. 21 questions is good over texts and it serves as a way to get to know each other better.



With my guy I like to send random quotes, jokes, or even pick-up lines that I find funny or think he would like. Gets you talking about something that not just the normal, "Hey, what's up?".



Ask her to tell you a story or send a few song lyrics her way. Be creative and it should be okay.



Plus 30 minutes is not too far maybe hang at a local park or fast food joint. Talking in person should help.



P.S. If you ever start getting bored with her in real life it's time too let her go.

My first boyfriend was like this. I got bored too. We'd talk everyday, about the same stuff. Eventually it lead to him complaining about his job: which was really irritating. Our conversations were always about him.

I would suggest asking a few random questions. It's a great way to get to know someone and they're fun! Some questions would be: If you were a dinosaur what kind would you be? If you could be anyone in history who would you be? Make up your own! Look up questions on the internet. Schedule a day where and the two of you don't talk. I think it'll be refreshing.

You shouldn't be getting bored with her this early on in a relationship.

Flirt with her more, maybe dirty talk a bit. Talk about stuff that.'' interest her. Use more smileys & wink faces. Just don't break up with her because she's " boring " . Gotta find topics you both like to talk about. :) Hope i helped!
