23 year old virgin in needs of pointers?

I am 23 and never got a girlfriend (probably too shy to ask, scared of the big NO) and I don't like the idea to simply pay an escort so I'm still a virgin at 23. Any pointers to maybe be less scared of the big NO, or pointers to reduce the chance to receive the big scary NO? what are the most commun mistake I should avoid, stuff I should absolutly do? and don't tell me learn your english, because english is my second language so it's normal if it's not perfect my french is way better then my english and if I try to ask a girl out I'll do it in french at will for the first time.

You need to actively PRACTICE talking to girls my friend.
