He said this over a TEXT and I am FREAKING THE FU@K OUT! HELP :/?

Question

So I met a guy two weeks ago and I have no seen him since but we stayed in touch and talk everyday. We are both 19. Well today when I was at work he called me but I could not answer. So I sent him a texting saying "whats up?" he sent one back saying "call me now" I said "I can't I'm at work, why whats up?" he then replied "Cause I wanna ask you something before I smoke" I said, "I cant call you right now I am sorry but I will call you once im off work but seriously what do you want ot tell me?" He then said "I wanted to ask u on the phone but never mind cause were going to smoke so I will just talk to you later okay?"
What do you think he wants to tell me I am a little confused? I am going to call him but I just want advicce as to what other people think.

I cant see anything wrong with his text messages.

But I feel the urgency of it that he wants to talk over the phone rather than texting. It can either be a good news or a bad news. Just be ready, and please update me on what was it about.ok? :)

Maybe he wanted to know if you liked him....If he was going to smoke weed that's what I would say because smoking causes you to say some crazy *** things that you would normally keep to yourself.
