What kind of group dating rules do you have for your teen daughter?

I am really old-fashioned - but my daughter is now "dating" in a group - which I am learning to be okay with. (She's 14-1/2 and her friend just turned 16 and does not drive yet). One of our rules for her is that they must switch off houses to hang out at.
When he calls, he usually wants my daughter to come over and hang at his house or his best friend's house (parents are home) with their large group of friends..
I have met his parents and they know I am very strict with my daughter and they seem to respect that. Is is too old fashioned of me to expect his parents pick her up every time they get together as a group, or should I do some of the driving to/from?
Also, I kind of feel like he should hang with her friends and be able to fit in with her plans. He seems to always make the plans that include his friends - she should be able to include hers too.
SO, what kinds of group dating rules do you have for your teen? Thanks!

im 14 myself and my mom is so stricked on the dating rules. in my opion ur doing the greatest thing for ur daughter. my mom doesnt even let me go to my bf's house even if his parents are home he has to come over and stay im my mom's vision. i also cant go any where with him without my mom. so in ur daughter's case... she is lucky to have a mom like u. great job. -dani

I am a teen and have been dating a guy *single and group dates* for a year so far and all is well.



it's fine to be strict but take it from a teen being too strict will lead to rebellion not being strict enough...will probably lead to something bad.



but if the whole group (including your daughter) is going somewhere then with who's going to pick her up why not make if half and half his parent's shouldn't have to do the carting around all the time and neither should you.



Also...If he's never doing anything with her friends then I'm sure she'll get that after a little while and either have him start doing something with them, get used to it, or break it off with him.



you don't really need any other rules then what you have



parents around when at the house, group dating, and parent's picking them up all the time is fine...
