i really need some advice about this guy i know....?

okay, so i know this guy, lets call him noah. and this other guy, lets call him landon, who i am pretty good friends with. well, ive never talked to noah that much, but landon and noah are friends. apparently noah asked landon for my number, and i got this text about a week ago from noah. it was a little weird at first, considering i barely talk to him at school but i was willing to make a new friend, and the few times that i'd talked to him before he was really nice to me. well after a while, he told me that he liked me for 3 or 4 weeks now, which was really surprising. by that time, i had some feelings for him too, but i didnt like him enough to go out with him, i dont even know him that well. he keeps saying how much he likes me and everything over text, but in school we barely talk. we dont have many chances to talk but when we do he seems really nervous and just goes over to one of his guy friends to talk to them. ive come to really like this guy, but i dont want to go out with him if he cant even talk to me in person. i try starting up conversations, but he seems really shy now. what should i do???????

You should be the one to talk to him because he might be shy/nervous talking to you because he likes you but if you go to talk to him its gives him confedence and it lets him know that you like him and are willing to give him a chance

I think just the best thing to do is focus on school instead of boys! Not to sound like a sap, but in my opinion he seems to not realize that if someone like me were to tell you that all those texts or emails he has soo much said that he likes you , well girlfriend just email them all to his friends and all the people he hangs out with. I think that you should just keep talking to him over text and if you like him then ask him to hang out. He will probably not try to make a move if he is shy. If you like him and he likes you then theres nothing to worry about. You should try to get him alone so that he will talk to you, because it is a little awkward for a guy to talk to a girl he likes if he already told her he likes her and she didn't say that she likes him. This is why I hate texting. It numbs us out to the point of not being able to have a face-to-face conversation. Give up on it. The relationship is already based on feelings that can only be conveyed on a phone screen.

maybe try finding a common interest? such as music you both like or just something you can act silly about. i have the same problem, i talk to this guy on msn, but i never see him in person anymore, we used to be so shy around each other, but we started having these immature times which are pretty fun, and we can just be ourselves, if he can be himself around you, im sure he'll talk more in person

he's obviously shy, but obviously likes you, when a guy likes a girl its super tricky to talk to her. My advice would be find him in the hallway when he's by himself, but don't come with friends. Say hi to him and start trying to find out more about him. If you like him, he will definitely ask you out, he's just shy
